  Wrist \Wrist\, n. [OE. wriste, wrist, AS. wrist; akin to OFries.
     wriust, LG. wrist, G. rist wrist, instep, Icel. rist instep,
     Dan. & Sw. vrist, and perhaps to E. writhe.]
