Stint \Stint\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Stinted; p. pr. & vb. n.
Stinting.] [OE. stinten, stenten, stunten, to cause to
cease, AS. styntan (in comp.) to blunt, dull, fr. stunt dull,
stupid; akin to Icel. stytta to shorten, stuttr short, dial,
