  Exhaust \Ex*haust"\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Exhausted; p. pr. &
     vb. n. Exhausting.] [L. exhaustus, p. p. of exhaurire; ex
     out + haurire, haustum, to draw, esp. water; perhaps akin to
     Icel. asua to sprinkle, pump.]
