  Jigger \Jig"ger\ (j[i^]g"g[~e]r), n. [A corrupt. of chigre.]
     1. (Zo["o]l.) A species of flea ({Tunga penetrans, or
        Sarcopsylla penetrans, or Pulex penetrans), which
        burrows beneath the skin; called also jigger flea. See
        Chigoe.
