  Flap \Flap\, n. [OE. flappe, flap, blow, bly-flap; cf. D. flap,
     and E. flap, v.]
     Anything broad and limber that hangs loose, or that is
     attached by one side or end and is easily moved; as, the flap
     of a garment.
