Damson \Dam"son\ (d[a^]m"z'n), n. [OE. damasin the Damascus
plum, fr. L. Damascenus. See Damascene.]
A small oval plum of a blue color, the fruit of a variety of
the Prunus domestica; -- called also damask plum.
