  Blow \Blow\, n. [OE. blaw, blowe; cf. OHG. bliuwan, pliuwan, to
     beat, G. bl["a]uen, Goth. bliggwan.]
     1. A forcible stroke with the hand, fist, or some instrument,
        as a rod, a club, an ax, or a sword.
